From Ottawa, head east — the drive takes approximately 2-3 hours. GPS coordinates: 45.2°N, 79.4°W. The final stretch is on gravel road — high-clearance vehicle recommended during spring thaw. Cell service becomes spotty about 30 minutes before arrival.
Stationnement et accès
Gravel pull-off area with space for 8-10 vehicles. Cartop boat launch only — no trailer ramp. Day-use parking fee of $5-10 applies during peak season (May-September). Shore fishing access is available along the eastern bank. Arrive early on weekends during peak season — the lot fills up by 7 AM.

Spring (May-June): Post-ice-out is prime time for Musky. Water temperatures are ideal and fish are actively feeding after the long winter.
Summer (July-August): Switch to early morning and late evening bites. Deep water trolling produces best results.
Fall (September-October): Arguably the best season — cooler water triggers aggressive feeding. Fall colours make this an especially scenic time to visit.
Winter: Ice fishing is productive from January through March. Check ice conditions with local outfitters.
Terrain et topographie
Maximum depth: 110m. The lake bottom features a mix of gravel beds, submerged timber, and weed beds that provide excellent habitat structure. The surrounding landscape is Canadian Shield with dense tree cover right to the shoreline. Water clarity is excellent — 3-5 metres visibility in summer. The eastern bay is shallow — use caution with motor boats.

A valid Ontario fishing licence is required for all anglers 16 and older. Licences can be purchased online through the provincial government website or at local tackle shops. Conservation licence holders have reduced catch limits. Check the current Ontario Fishing Regulations Summary for species-specific size and catch limits — regulations for Musky are strictly enforced. Barbless hooks are mandatory in this zone. Catch-and-release is encouraged for trophy-sized fish to maintain the healthy population.
