Spring (May-June): Post-ice-out is prime time for Barbotte brune. Water temperatures are ideal and fish are actively feeding after the long winter.
Summer (July-August): Switch to early morning and late evening bites. Deep water trolling produces best results.
Fall (September-October): Arguably the best season — cooler water triggers aggressive feeding. Fall colours make this an especially scenic time to visit.
Winter: Ice fishing is productive from January through March. Check ice conditions with local outfitters.

Watch for submerged rocks near the northern shore.
