From Thunder Bay, the drive is approximately 2-3 hours heading north into the bush. GPS: 50.1°N, 91.9°W. The last 20 km is logging road — 4WD recommended, especially after rain. The main hunting areas are accessible from the road system.
Stationnement et accès
Designated staging area with space for 10-15 trucks and trailers. ATV unloading area available at the trailhead. Register at the provincial check station within 24 hours of harvest. Lock your vehicle and don't leave valuables visible — these areas are remote.

Primary season: September - November. Early season (September) offers warm weather but bugs — bring repellent and patience. The rut period (late October to mid-November) is prime time for big game — bucks are active and responsive to calls. Late season hunts (November-December) can be brutally cold but offer the best trophy potential. Dawn and dusk are the most productive hours — plan to be in position 30 minutes before legal shooting time.

Elevation ranges from 200-600 metres above sea level. Wetland edges and field borders are key transition zones. Ground is rocky in places — sturdy boots are essential.

Draw/lottery tags may be required for certain species — apply early (spring deadline). Hunter orange/blaze orange is mandatory during firearms season.
